外观维度，Final Cut Camera 新版让创作者可以更从容地调用快门开角、 ISO 和白平衡等常用设置；同时给出可自定义的叠层表明，涵盖用于精准掌控曝光的伪色和过曝提示，以及兼容灵敏度调节的升级版对焦峰值。全新的 Tally 录制指示灯可清晰指示录制状态；使用者还可借助双指轻点以清空取景器，从而专注于拍摄画面。
借助 iPhone 18 Pro，使用者可以充分发挥配备可变光圈的全新融合式主摄的长处，这也是 Apple 迄今最先进的摄像头，首次为 iPhone 带来光圈控制能力。

September 30 — IT Home reports that the iPhone professional video app Final Cut Camera has received a major 2.4 update, adding compatibility with the iPhone 18 Pro's variable aperture and bringing more professional options for creators alongside iOS 27. The new version is available today (September 30) as a free software update.
In terms of UI, the new version of Final Cut Camera allows creators to access common settings such as shutter angle, ISO, and white balance more conveniently; it also offers a customizable overlay showing false color and overexposure indicators for precise exposure control, along with an upgraded focus peaking with adjustable sensitivity. A new Tally recording indicator clearly shows the recording status; users can also clear the viewfinder with a two-finger tap to focus on the shot.
With the iPhone 18 Pro, users can fully leverage the new fused main camera with variable aperture — Apple's most advanced camera to date, which introduces aperture control to the iPhone for the first time.
Final Cut Camera allows creators to precisely adjust aperture settings and flexibly choose between shutter priority and aperture priority modes. This update also unlocks cinematic mode effects for standard video, including footage shot in ProRes and Apple Log formats. Creators can directly adjust focus and depth of field while editing in Final Cut Pro.
Paired with iOS 27, Final Cut Camera now supports professional video scopes, clean SDI output, and Genlock bias calibration. Creators can now use waveforms and RGB vector scopes for precise video monitoring; the latter displays red, green, and blue channels to assist in checking color balance and exposure.
Additionally, with clean SDI output, creators can send a clean video signal using an HDMI-to-SDI converter for broadcast-quality streaming. With Genlock bias calibration, creators can eliminate artifacts when filming a display screen or bridge latency differences between the iPhone and other phase-locked synchronized cameras.
