据报道，微软现已告知硬件合作伙伴，称 OOBE 现可给出特定版本的平台清单（System Manifest）。据IT之家了解，平台清单用于协调 WoA（Windows on ARM）设备的驱动程序和固件更新。
如今厂商可挑选在 OOBE 阶段只更新关键驱动或固件，将非必要的更新延后。这种改动将可以显著降低使用者在 OOBE 的停留时间，带来更好的使用感受。对于其他轻微修复和改进，厂商应继续使用现有 Windows Update 机制。

It is reported that Microsoft has informed hardware partners that OOBE can now provide a platform manifest of a specific version. According to IT Home, the platform manifest is used to coordinate driver and firmware updates for WoA (Windows on ARM) devices.
Now manufacturers can choose to update only critical drivers or firmware during the OOBE phase, deferring non-essential updates.
