有 Reddit 使用者反馈称，持有 Switch 原版实体卡带的玩家，可将卡带插入 Switch 2 主机，更新游戏后即可在游戏菜单内免费领取《巫师 3：狂猎 — 重制版》，领取成功后无需插卡也能继续游玩（领取的数字版会绑定至账户）。
当下已有多位玩家验证，CDPR 允许同一张实体卡带被无限次使用。这意味着，玩家只需借一张或租一张原版卡带，就能免费解锁 Switch 2 重制版。该福利源于 CDPR 此前承诺：重制版升级在所有平台免费，实体版同样适用。
《巫师 3》重制版新增内容涵盖重新外观的技能平台、改进的战斗与移动、翻新的坐骑操控、增强的怪物行为、护甲幻化、扩展的拍照模式、新处决动画等。其他改进涵盖跨平台模组兼容、新任务追踪、沉浸式冥想、精化动画、UI 改进、拾取平台重做、动态模糊刷新、无障碍能力、HDR 改进、光线追踪改进、全局光照重做、新着色模型与次表面散射等。
另外，重制版已包含《石之心》与《血与酒》两部扩展包。付费的第三部扩展包《旧时曲》计划于 2027 年推出，具体日期未定。
任天堂 Switch 2 重制版下载约需 50GB 存储空间。未持有原版的玩家可直接在 eShop 以 59.99 美元（现汇率约合 403 元人民币）、399 港币（IT之家注：现汇率约合 341.6 元人民币）、7,490 日元（现汇率约合 319.6 元人民币）购买。

This title brings a series of improvements, covering multi-dimensional upgrades in graphics, gameplay, and more.
Some Reddit users reported that players holding original physical Switch cartridges can insert the cartridge into a Switch 2 console, update the game, and then claim The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered Edition for free in the game menu. After claiming it successfully, they can continue playing without inserting the cartridge (the claimed digital version is bound to the account).
Multiple players have already verified that CDPR allows the same physical cartridge to be used an unlimited number of times. This means players only need to borrow or rent one original cartridge to unlock the Switch 2 remaster for free. This benefit stems from CDPR's earlier promise: the remaster upgrade is free on all platforms, and physical editions are likewise eligible.
New content in The Witcher 3 remaster includes a reskinned skill platform, improved combat and movement, revamped mount controls, enhanced monster behavior, armor transmogrification, an expanded photo mode, new execution animations, and more. Other improvements include cross-platform mod compatibility, new quest tracking, immersive meditation, refined animations, UI improvements, pickup platform rework, refreshed motion blur, accessibility features, HDR improvements, ray tracing improvements, global illumination rework, new shading models, and subsurface scattering.
Additionally, the remaster already includes both expansion packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The paid third expansion, Song of Old Times, is planned for release in 2027, with a specific date yet to be determined.
