IT之家 10 月 1 日消息，Infineon（英飞凌）当地时间昨日宣布推出 USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) Type-C 接口扩展 PCIe AIC 参考外观，旨在加速这一接口在工业领域的应用。
这张附加卡上行侧为 PCIe Gen4 ×4；配备祥硕 USB4 主机控制器 ASM4242 和英飞凌 USB PD 控制器 EZ-PD CCG7；下行侧为 2 个兼容 36W PD 输出的 USB-C，可借助 5m 无源数据线传输 20Gbps 信号。
英飞凌表示，USB 20Gbps 虽然能给出前代机型 2 倍的带宽，但由于长距离传输的信号完整性挑战和复杂的电源要求，其在工业领域的广泛应用受到限制。
这款扩展卡直接应对了两大难题，为机器视觉应用中的长距离高速率高功率传输扫清了可靠性障碍，平台外观人员能更方便地将 USB-C 20Gbps 用于机器视觉平台。

IT Home, October 1 — Infineon announced yesterday the release of a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) Type-C to PCIe AIC reference design, aimed at accelerating the adoption of this interface in industrial applications.
The add-on card features a PCIe Gen4 ×4 uplink, a Realtek USB4 host controller ASM4242, and an Infineon EZ-PD CCG7 USB PD controller. On the downstream side, it offers two USB-C ports compatible with 36W PD output, supporting 20Gbps signal transmission over a 5m passive cable.
Infineon noted that while USB 20Gbps offers twice the bandwidth of its predecessor, its widespread adoption in industrial applications has been limited by signal integrity challenges over long distances and complex power requirements.
This expansion card directly addresses both challenges, clearing reliability obstacles for long-distance, high-speed, high-power transmission in machine vision applications and making it easier for platform designers to integrate USB-C 20Gbps into machine vision platforms.
