Amazon just released a new 6-inch Kindle e-reader, available in plastic or a more expensive aluminum version. The device was leaked a few days ago and is now officially announced.
The new 6-inch Kindle is Amazon's most portable model to date. It features 16GB storage, up to 6 weeks of battery life, and opens books 30% faster than its predecessor. The device is lighter and features a new flush-front design with a seamless display, which involved redesigning the assembly and bonding of the display, front light, and touch layers.
